Landscape Painting. Join us for an adventurous day of painting at two locations around Bainbridge Island. Artists may choose from watercolor, acrylic, or oil mediums. Vegetarian lunch included.

Portrait Painting
In this intermediate Portrait Oil Painting class, artists will work from photographs to learn about form, proportions, measuring, composition, and layering of colors. We'll explore a variety of ways to create texture using palette knives and subtle blending brush techniques.
Materials List: #2 Princeton Filbert brush (size #2), Princeton Dakota Bright brush (size #4), Paints: Black, Zinc White, Ochre, Rembrandt Warm Grey, Old Holland Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Quinocidone Red, or substitute, Linseed Oil, and Gamsol.

ROOTS, VINES, AND BARK BASKETS
Work with cedar bark to create an original bark basket. Learn how to harvest cedar, dye bark with natural pigments, and weave a cross-weft pattern in a unique design. Cedar bark weaving is a traditional skill used by the HAIDA of the Queen Charlotte Islands, Coast Salish people. Materials included.
